Mercedes-Benz has revealed when you might be able to get behind the wheel. The automaker’s CEO, Ola Källenius, told media representatives that the vehicle was expected to arrive by the end of 2024 .
The company announced a zero-emission electric version of the SUV back in 2019, and we did last year. Last fall, Källenius put a prototype of the electric vehicle through its paces at the Mercedes test site in Graz, Austria – where the company normally evaluates the combustion engine version of the G-Class. Apparently he had had positive experiences. “From now on, off-road driving is electric,” Källenius told reporters.
Getting an electric version of the G-Class to work was essential for the SUV to last in the long run. Mercedes plans.
