Mercer County, NJ: 2-alarm fire destroys Lawrence Township, New Jersey home

Due to a lack of water supply in the area, the fire brigade had to move water tankers.

LAWRENCE TWP., NJ (WPVI) — A dual alarm fire has destroyed a home in Lawrence Township, Mercer County.

The fire broke out around 5:15 a.m. Friday at the 3000 block of Lawrenceville Road (Route 206).

When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames.

As the fire spread through the home, a second alarm went off.

Due to a lack of water supply in the area, the fire brigade had to move water tankers.

Chopper 6 above the scene showed that not much was left of the house after the fire.

Drivers are advised to take alternative routes near the scene of the fire.

A cause is being investigated.
