Meta, Facebook’s parent company, in July released a four-page summary of a human rights impact assessment on India, its largest user market, where it faced allegations of failing to adequately monitor hate speech against religious minorities. The India summary was part of the company’s first global human rights report. The 83-page global report provides detailed findings from some previous research; it contained only general descriptions of its India rating, which disappointed some lawyers.
