Michael Cera admits he felt “a little depressed” after wrapping up Scott Pilgrim

Michael Cera has revealed he felt a little “depressed” after filming the cult 2010 action comedy Scott pilgrim vs the world.
The Edgar Wright-directed film, based on the graphic novel of the same name, starred Cera as Scott Pilgrim, a musician/slacker who must defeat his girlfriend’s seven evil ex-girlfriends while trying to land a record deal.
The film also starred Mary Elizabeth Wanstead as Ramona Flowers, Scott’s girlfriend, alongside Anna Kendrick, Chris Evans, Kieran Culkin and Brie Larson.
Speak with GQ, about his most memorable roles Cera explained that he had a hard time accepting the moment filming ended because he was having so much fun on set.
“We just had the best atmosphere with everyone,” said the 34-year-old. “I think that leaked from Edgar [Wright] and the energy it generated. We all got to rehearse together and spend a lot of time together before we even started shooting the film.”
Cera said he was a fan of Wright because of his work on shows like Wright Distance, as well as his films hot fuzz And Shaun of the Dead. Wright was also friends with some of Cera’s Captured Development Co-stars: “I knew he was incredibly talented,” he said.
The Barbie The actor said that after nine months of shooting, he felt the film and the people involved were his safe space.
“This is my world, this is my circle of friends,” he said. “I thought it was always going to be like this and to be honest I was a little depressed when we were done because it all just goes away and you’re like, ‘Where has everyone gone?’
“You kind of get used to it as you get older, but I was sad to lose it. I could have kept doing this forever, even though it was exhausting.”

On Wednesday (August 16) there is a new trailer for the Netflix animated series Scott Pilgrim takes off was published.
The entire cast of scott pilgrim vs the world have been brought in to voice their original roles in the new anime show, which will consist of eight episodes.
In 2020, the cast of scott pilgrim vs the world met via Zoom for a virtual table reading to mark the 10th anniversary of the film’s release.
Scott Pilgrim takes off will be released on Netflix on November 17th.
