Mike Florio advises not to invite Rob Gronkowski to Tom Brady’s roast

Tom Brady will feature on the Netflix roast special and Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk has said he doesn’t want Rob Gronkowski to have a microphone.

The future Hall of Fame tight finish could be one of the guests to ‘bak’ his quarterback on the Netflix special, but Florio doesn’t think it’s a good idea.

Speaking on PFT LiveFlorio says that Gronkowski was on a shoot with David Ortiz five or six years ago and because of what he said, they couldn’t use it.

“I don’t know who’s going to be involved in Tom Brady’s barbecue, that’s going to go a long way to determining if it’s funny. Please don’t put Rob Gronkowski near the microphone.”

Netflix has announced a new shooting series called “Greatest Roasts of All Time: GROAT” Tom Brady will be the first to have the roast.

“A few years ago, he told David Ortiz that they were going to put in the NESN in the Boston area and they couldn’t use it because in part, the stuff he said, the destructible stuff from Gronk, six years ago, five years ago. So part of me really wanted Gronk to be in and part of me saying God, no, please don’t let Gronk take the mic.”

Tom Brady Hunts for the Eighth Super Bowl

NFC Split Qualifiers - Los Angeles Rams v Tampa Bay Buccaneers
NFC Split Qualifiers – Los Angeles Rams v Tampa Bay Buccaneers

After being knocked out of the knockout stages last season by eventual champions the LA Rams, Tom Brady has announced his retirement from the NFL after 22 seasons. It only lasted 40 days.

Now back for its 23rd season, the legendary quarterback has set its sights on winning an eighth Super Bowl ring. With his NFC South division essentially a short path for many, the 44-year-old will probably have the easiest run to the league post-season.

However, the Buccaneers really play their fair share in the 2022 contenders. The Rams, Packers, Bengals, Chiefs, Cowboys, Ravens, Cardinals and Browns are all tough duties for Brady.

With the bulk of the Buccaneers roster returning, without Rob Gronkowski (at the time of writing), Tampa Bay is at least qualified to make it to the knockout stages. When we got there, we all knew the 44-year-old defender’s abilities.

Brady will likely have a home advantage, which is ideal and, depending on their seed, could have many home games. Whether he can take the eighth belt remains to be seen, but be suspicious of the “goat” at your risk. The stage is set for legend again.
