Mike Trout shows Shohei Ohtani every angle of his 100th homer in a wholesome moment between superstars

Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Angels have held on to the top spot in the American League West despite the Houston Astros doing pretty well and joining them in the top spot. The Angels currently have a 23-13 record, while the Astros come in at 22-12. This comes after the Angels dropped a game against the Athletics on Friday because of the poor pitching of starter Jhonathan Diaz.

Despite currently sharing the top spot, the Angels have treated their fans with an incredible display of power and attack prowess. Two of the main reasons the Angels look poised is because of their top two: Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani.

The Angels were at the O.co Coliseum in Oakland, California, in a series of three games against their fellow competitors, the Oakland Athletics. After losing Saturday’s game and the Houston Astros appeared closer than ever in the rearview mirror, Joe Maddon’s club are as hungry for victory as ever.

Sunday’s game started in typical Angel fashion with lots of insults. Rookie Adam Oller had his third game of the season for Athletics, and they wasted no time focusing on him.

Tyler Ward made it 5-1 for the Angels with a big hit early in the second half, and from there it was all Angels. Mike Trout hit an RBI double early in season five before being driven home by Ohtani by a 418-foot high explosion. The Angels won with a score of 9-1.

It was Shohei Ohtani’s seventh bomb of the season and the 100th hit of his career. After the game, he and Mike Trout got to watch replays of the blast from different angles, a moment that made us all smile.

The LA Angels will continue on to Arlington, Texas, to play the Texas Rangers next week and hope to stay at the top of the table. Ohtani will be looking to make more brilliance.
