Missing tourist sub could have become ‘stuck’ under Titanic propeller | News

A friend of missing billionaire Hamish Harding said Titanic tourist submarines had been trapped in wreckage in the past.

Colonel Terry Virts spoke to BBC Radio 4 Today Show about the ongoing search for the missing submersible that lost contact an hour and 45 minutes after its dive with five people on board.

“The sub has many ways of getting it to the surface…but none of those systems worked, which to me means it’s probably stuck on something,” Colonel Virts said.

“It sounds like it was on the surface and just stuck under the Titanic. Incidentally, other submarines and missions have gotten stuck under the propeller or behind walls in recent years. It is obviously a dangerous site.”
