MLB All-Star bus crashes into SeaTac hotel

Only the driver was on the bus at the time and no injuries were reported at the hotel.

SEATAC, Wash. — A bus with T-Mobile and MLB All-Star badges crashed into a SeaTac hotel Tuesday night, the King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) confirmed Wednesday.

According to KCSO, a 911 call was received around 9:21 p.m. Tuesday that a bus had crashed into the DoubleTree hotel on International Avenue S in SeaTac. Delegates arrived and found a large pink bus with “Seattle All-Star Week” written on the side along with numerous T-Mobile logos.

Only the driver was on the bus at the time of the crash and he was transported to a local hospital as a precaution. KCSO said no signs of impairment were reported from the driver, who said he mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake on the bus.

According to KCSO, no injuries were reported from anyone at the hotel.

T-Mobile Park in Seattle hosted the 2023 MLB All-Star Game Tuesday night, wrapping up a busy week in western Washington. Community projects and activations have popped up across the region as visitors from around the world flock to Midsummer Classic.

On Monday night, Mariners star Julio Rodriguez drew a sold-out crowd at T-Mobile Park during the Home Run Derby, breaking the event’s record by hitting 41 home runs. in the first round to overtake former champion Pete Alonso. Rodriguez was knocked down in the next round by Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of the Toronto Blue Jays, who won the title.
