MLB Playoffs: Phillies may clinch the World Series Sunday, Philadelphia businesses told to prepare for crowds

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — If the Phillies win on Sunday and secure a spot in the World Series, the city could go wild with plenty of celebrations.
Businesses have been told to expect large crowds and prepare for them.
The Philadelphia Police Department sent a letter to homes and businesses, specifically in the Frankford and Cottman Avenue areas.
The department suggests businesses close gates and get in if owners decide to close.
Bars and restaurants have been asked to sell alcohol in plastic cups instead of glass bottles.
“We’re beefing up security, of course, but for the past few years it’s always been just a party, so we got the letter from the city, so we have the plastic cups ready and we just have the crew on deck ready to go,” says Dia Swan, a bartender at Reale’s Restaurant and Bar.
If you decide to drive in the area, pay close attention to the newly installed “No Parking” signs along Cottman and Frankford.
