Monster Hunter Rise Preview – Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak | New Gameplay Today

The Monster Hunter franchise has been one of Capcom’s most iconic in recent years, and the publisher hopes to continue that trend with the release of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, the first major expansion to the PC and Switch title. Join us as we give you an early look at some new gameplay and discuss our hands-on impressions of the highly anticipated DLC.

Your hosts for this New Gameplay Today are none other than Alex Stadnik, Jill Grodt and John Carson. The crew begins the video by showing off one of the new areas in Sunbreak and discusses what fans can look forward to when it releases on June 30th, but some of the western-inspired monsters will be hunting. The team at Capcom drew on legendary characters like werewolves and vampires for Sunbreak, which is very clear when you look at some of the creatures they’re highlighting today.

But what’s a new monster hunt without new rewards? John also chimes in and discusses his time talking to the developers and detailing some of the new Wirebug skills coming in the DLC. We’ll also go into detail about the new Follower Quest system and how it contributes to the overall single player experience. Finally, the panel wraps up the video by showing the other new areas Hunters will traverse and where Jill and John’s Hype levels are, having seen Sunbreak at its best so far.
