Monty Don shares major update on companion as fans admit there are ‘no words’

MONTY Don took to social media to share a big update with his fans about certain furry friends.
The Gardeners’ World host took to X – formerly known as Twitter – and gave a behind-the-scenes look at life with his dogs.
Monty, 68, has three dogs that he shares with his wife, two golden retrievers called Ned and Nell and a Yorkshire terrier called Patti.
He got Nell – also known as Nellie – a year ago, following the sad death of another golden retriever named Nigel in 2020.
But as he celebrates one year of his canine life, he took to the micro-blogging platform with cute before and after shots of his dogs.
One shot shows an adult Ned refusing to look at the adorable puppy.
However, the second shot shows Nellie all grown up, looking into the camera alongside Monty’s other long-time pet.
The BBC Two personality captioned the post: “Ned arrived a year ago today – and Nell could hardly stand to look at him. Now they are inseparable.”
And his loyal fans flooded the reply section with adorable stories about their own pups while praising the star for his upbringing.
One fan gushed: “Oh I love Ned as a puppy! ❤️🐶 great photos xx.”
A second said: “He’s much calmer!”
“More Ned and Nell content please 😍,” wrote a third.
A fourth commented: “Two loads of golden splendor to keep an eye on little Patti. 😊 Time flies, no matter how hard we pull on the reins.”
And a fifth user added: “No words ❤️❤️.”
