NORRISTOWN, Pennsylvania (WPVI) — It’s full circle for a mother-daughter duo in Norristown.
This will be Susan Schultz’s final year at Paul V Fly Elementary School in Norristown.
It is the first for her daughter Julia.
“I could never have imagined in my wildest dreams that my daughter would go to the same school as me. I really didn’t,” Schultz said.
Both mother and daughter were busy setting up their classrooms for the first day of school.
Susan teaches 4th grade. Julia will teach kindergarten.
This will be the only year the mother-daughter duo will ever work together at the same school.
“I could always see how much she loved Paul Fly and the Norristown School District. I saw what a great teacher she was and it’s been a part of me since I was little. It’s great to still be here. to be with her in her last year and also when she leaves,” said Julia Schultz.
Julia was a substitute teacher last year, so this is her first full-time job.
Both mother and daughter look forward to enjoying every moment of collaboration throughout the school year.
The first day of school is August 29th.
