MrBeast’s Kris Tyson Reveals She’s Transgender

“I’m just so excited to be authentically myself,” shared the YouTube star.
Chris Tyson is officially out and I’m excited to finally be able to share the news.
The YouTube personality known for her collaborations MrBeast (Picture below left, circle inserted), spoke to the content creator Anthony Padilias show on Friday, in which she revealed she’s changed her pronouns and is officially out as transgender.
“I am a woman! She/they,” began the internet personality formerly known as Chris Tyson. “I’ve never said that publicly, but I’ve been fully committed to this decision for over a year.”
“I wasn’t quite sure who I was yet, but I knew I wasn’t cisgender. That’s why I needed the freedom to express myself and find out who I was,” Tyson explained, adding that until recently she couldn’t fully accept herself. “I tried Gender Fluid for a while. I asked myself, ‘What makes me feel bisexual? What connects me to this masculinity?’”
“After a lot of talking to a therapist and a lot of self-reflection, I realized it was really just this societal pressure, ‘You’re Chris from MrBeast. You’re the guy who starts the fire. You’re the guy who builds the stuff.’ All my life I’ve enjoyed doing these things, but I’ve never really felt like “the guy,” she continued.
“For so long I went to bed every day and had vivid dreams about being a woman. And I woke up in the morning and it was like I was snapped out of a reality that I didn’t want to be snapped out of,” Tyson shared. “There were times I just slept all day because it was more fun or more fun to do because I didn’t feel connected to the real world.”
Though the road to acceptance was long, Tyson said she’s happy now – calling her hormone replacement therapy (HRT), which she began taking in February, “liberation.” She recently shared the news on her Twitter with the tweet “New pronouns just came out,” the YouTube influencer was candid about the acceptance of those around her – hoping the internet will do the same.
“The support I got from them in that moment, I knew I had my friends, everyone else. They’re really like my family,” she said, sharing the tearful moment as she came out to friends three years ago. “I’m just so excited to be authentically myself. The person you knew for a long time was a facade. This is the real me. I’m still the same person, I just look a little different.”
