But one TikTok user said that wasn’t the case for her, and she had a rude awakening when she realized what her boyfriend had planned.

Amber (@amberwavesofbrain) posted on her TikTok detailing the bizarre move.

“OK, when I was in college, my boyfriend texted me and asked what size underwear I was wearing,” she began in the video.

Since they had only recently started dating, she was a bit surprised by the question.

“I thought, ‘That feels a little early in the relationship for that.’ But I told him my height and I was like, ‘Why?’”

The friend responded by declining the question.

“And then maybe a week later I’ll be with him and I’ll sit on the couch.”

She felt something get stuck between the pillow and the armrest, so she pulled it out.

It was an invoice from Victoria’s Secret for an online order.

“It was a bundle of underwear in a size I don’t wear, and I was like, ‘What is that?’

“And he said, ‘Well, for my last girlfriend, I ordered her underwear online and then we broke up. And I still had them, but you’re not that size, so I actually gave them to another girl I know.'”

The woman thought it was “weird” that he only asked her her underwear size to see if he could gift her the purchase.

But she laughed when she looked back on it now.

However, most TikTok users approved of the man’s ingenuity.

“I don’t see a problem because I want them,” one person said.

“He’s a bit frugal and yet generous. Probably a successful businessman today,” added another.

“Generous guy,” remarked a third.
