My Chemical Romance Release First Song Since 2014

Almost two and a half years after performing their only reunion show in Los Angeles (before that was COVID), My Chemical Romance has released new music. Titled “The Foundation of Decline,” the six-minute track is the band’s first new track since 2014.

Despite the reunion (and subsequent pause between shows), it’s never been clear whether My Chemical Romance intends to release any new music. That question has now been answered. The song is a welcome return, with a mix of emoji and post-production.

Going back to March 2020, My Chemical Romance was one of the first artists to postpone their tour due to the COVID pandemic. But if you keep your ticket, your patience will pay off. My Chem will be back on the road later this month in the UK and Europe, and will be back in the state on August 20 in Oklahoma City. The race also includes highlights at Riot Fest in September and October at the emotional When We Were Young festival in Las Vegas.

My Chem’s most recent album, Dangerous Days: The True Life of Great Killerswas released in 2010. The pack of biggest hits was released in 2014.
