My friend had a surprise baby, people are stunned by how similar his sibling’s name is – they only wanted one & it shows

AFTER having their second child, one parent chose a first and middle name that was already familiar to their family.

They initially just wanted one child, and Reddit users say it’s been proven.

Post anonymously RedditA woman said she was surprised by the name her friend’s sister-in-law gave her second child.

“Their first child is a girl, [named] Christine Michaela,” she began in the thread.

“The second child was born a few days ago, a boy they named… Christian Michael.”

The similarity between the daughter’s and son’s names is a little too close for the comfort of the woman, who shared some more insight into why the couple went down that path.

“Obviously Christian and Michael are both honorary names.

“And at first they just wanted one child, but when they found out it was a girl, they still used their names.”

However, it seems they haven’t given up on using the correct nickname.

“Well, seven years later, a boy suddenly appeared… and they still use those names.”

Viewers said they had heard about similar situations in families.

“I know Brooke Michelle and her brother Brooks Michael,” one person wrote.

“Worse – I know Olivier and Olivia,” said another.

“I went to school with a boy named Eric. Turns out he has a younger sister named Erica,” a third person revealed.

And a fourth offered a potential solution to the original couple: “At least they could reverse the order: Christine Michaela and Michael Christian.”
