“Here are some tips your gardeners don’t want you to know to get rid of weeds,” begins Collin (@bluemelonco) in a video on TikTok.

“First boil some water. Then take your pot of boiling water and pour it directly over the weeds,” he explains.

He demonstrated by running hot water over the weeds.

He adds that the tip is chemical-free and pet-friendly.

“Instantly kills weeds without chemicals reaching the roots and seeds. Plants hate hot water. Extreme temperatures are too much for weeds,” Collin explained in the caption.

He added in the clip’s comments that the boiling water method will make the weeds disappear in about a month.

Someone in the comments offered a tip of their own for greater efficiency.

They write: “Just the roots. And lower heat when pouring. Less heat loss”.

Another expressed their preference for natural methods.

“Love is not poison!!” they cried.

And several others shared their opposing preference for chemical killers.

“I use chemicals, it’s better to kill everything,” they said.

Collin warns: “Yes, but it can keep other things from growing.”

He said it's also pet-friendly
