My tried-and-tested method will slash time spent waiting at airport pick-up – you’ll wonder why you hadn’t thought of it

A frequent flyer has revealed a tip that can halve airport pick-up times – and many think it’s brilliant.

She said, “Come to the departure level when the arrival level is completely full of cars.”

“Because then the person who picks you up can come up here without any problems and doesn’t have to wait in line.”

Lindsay joked: “I may look shabby after a 20-hour day of travel, but at least I won’t have to wait a moment longer to get home.”

The advice may not work at all airports, but Lindsay said it worked well at the Austin, Texas, airport.

She told Newsweek, “I found out about this hack because the Austin airport actually has encouraging signs during peak travel times.” traveler to use both levels for pickup and return.

“Not everyone pays attention to this, but those who listen to this advice will have a shorter wait.”

However, if you’re traveling through an airport without separate arrivals and departures areas, the hack won’t work.

Last month, a mom shared a simple trick that could allow you to score free drinks and snacks at airports.

In many airport lounges you get a free pass for up to four people if your mobile provider is O2 or your mobile provider Broadband The provider is Virgin Media.

All you have to do is register your flights in advance using a link with O2 Priority.

You will then receive a LoungeKey Pass voucher via email or SMS that you can redeem if your outward or return flight is delayed.

There are no roaming charges with O2, so you can use your minutes and data in most European countries at no additional cost.

And if you’re a frequent flyer, you can request a SmartDelay code from O2 Priority every month.

At some airports you can use the voucher to get £15 off your food and drinks bill instead of gaining access to a lounge.

For example, if you fly from Gatwick South Terminal you can get £15 off your bill at the Grain Store Cafe and Bar.
