Netflix Adds 12 New Movies And Series This Week (August 20, 2023)
It’s a new week and that means Netflix is adding new movies and shows to its offerings. The number of new things being added is by no means huge, but there might be a thing or two you’d like to try. New additions include an action-packed miniseries, a new horror film and a new family comedy.
First is Who is Erin Carter? The action series will be released on Netflix on Thursday, August 24, 2023 and follows a British expat in Spain who becomes involved in a supermarket robbery. When one of the robbers realizes that she is something other than a silent teacher, her life in her hands begins to fall apart. The series stars Evin Ahmad, Sean Teale, Indica Watson and Susannah Fielding.

Next comes the intriguingly titled novel Killer Book Club. Coming to Netflix on Friday, August 25th, it features eight horror-loving friends who meet weekly to share their love of horror stories. Unfortunately, books aren’t the only things to be afraid of. You try to survive as a killer clown. Why is it always a clown?! Knowing a secret they are all keeping, the clown begins killing them one by one.
Killer Book Club and who is Erin Carter? this week on Netflix
According to the Netflix Media Center, an anonymous author is the one who threatens her. They threaten to release a horror story about the group on social media and every time a chapter is released one of them will die. Are the author and the clown the same person? To find out, you have to watch.

You’re not invited to my Bat Mitzvah like this also coming to Netflix this week on Friday 25th August. The main roles are played by Idina Menzel, Jackie Sandler, Adam Sandler, Sadie Sandler, Sunny Sandler, Jackie Hoffman and Luis Guzmán. The film follows Stacey Friedman as she plans her bat mitzvah. But her plans are shattered and the event may not go as she expects.
