Netflix’s ‘El Conde’ trailer teases a 250-year-old vampire tired of his undead reputation

From the first moments of the trailer El CondePablo Larraín’s latest film packs a punch jackie, spencer, And Lisey’s story The director is back with a rollicking, dark satirical comedy about a restless vampire who grows weary of immortality after stalking the earth for centuries.

Augusto Pinochet (famous Chilean actor Jaime Vadell) is a 250-year-old vampire who lives in a ruined mansion with his spoiled and corrupt family. Unable to shake off his enduring – and deserved – reputation as a thief in life, he decides to die. Forever. But while he’s putting his affairs in order, a young French accountant (Paula Luchsinger) will reveal some truths about his life as a general.

Written by Larraín and Guillermo Calderón, inspired by Chilean history, El Conde sees Pinochet as a symbol of a fascism, a dictator who greedily furthers his privileged immortality by feeding on others for a living.

The cast also includes Gloria Münchmeyer, Alfredo Castro, Catalina Guerra, Marcial Tagle, Amparo Noguera, Diego Muñoz and Antonia Zegers.

El Conde will stream on Netflix starting September 15.
