New ‘FIFA Mobile’ mode puts the focus on strategy, not action

Would you rather monitor yours FIFA mobile team than controlling your players’ every last move? You now have your chance. EA introduced a manager mode for the Android and iOS title that allows you to focus on strategy and tactics instead of action. You choose the starting line-up, set tactics in real time (e.g. attack or counterattack) and let your team play. You can even queue up multiple games as you climb the division ranks.

The corresponding game update also improves goalkeepers, adds player substitution options and offers kits for 30 national teams. The upgrade is available immediately.

That doesn’t rotate FIFA mobile into a management sim like football manager. They don’t scout for talent, design training programs, or wrestle with the team’s board of directors. Rather think of this as the soccer equivalent of an auto-battler Automatic chess or Teamfight Tactics – It’s a slightly more relaxed experience that rewards situational awareness more than quick reflexes.
