New indie horror game challenges you to refund it after completion

. Last updated: July 25, 2022

This new indie horror game will actively ask you to refund it if you can complete the entire game in less than two hours. But it’s not as easy as it sounds.

Brand new indie horror game Refund Me If You Can has garnered impressive popularity on Steam and social media for one reason: it actively wants you to get your money back. That being said, simply playing and completing the game in under two hours is far from easy.

Developed by Sungame Studio, Refund Me If You Can revolves around the protagonist Sarah, who seems to be having a nightmare in which she is being hunted by a loud and undeniably deadly monster. Your task is to traverse the terrifying maze in search of an exit from this never-ending nightmare, and with over 100 different paths to choose from, the struggle is real. Luckily, you can place torches to mark different routes, meaning hopefully you should never walk the same path twice.

There are two things that convince players to dive into this brief experience: the fact that they get their money back, and that if you beat it within two hours you’ll get an achievement. All achievement hunters won’t be able to resist trying this great indie horror game just for this extra rare achievement. As for money, it’s only $3.99, so not getting it done in two hours isn’t the end of the world.

The game’s premise revolves around Steam’s refund policy, which usually dictates that you get your money back if a game has been played for less than two hours. After all, two hours are usually enough to get into a game. It has not been confirmed if Steam is ok with this loophole in their policy, but players and creators seem to be loving the new challenge.
