Newark death investigation: Man found with gunshot wound after crash in New Castle County, Delaware

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI)– A man with a gunshot wound was found dead in a car accident in Newark, Delaware on Friday.

New Castle County Police said officers responded at around 7:37 p.m. at the intersection of Old Newark Road and Marrows Road to report a vehicular accident.

When they arrived, they found that a car had crashed into a tree.

The 20-year-old male driver, the only person in the car, was found with a gunshot wound to the torso.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s name was not released. No arrests were made.
