Since Castlevania Ended May 2021, we longed for an animated title as awesome as this one. Of course, we’ve come across many Netflix releases that have kept us in suspense, but nothing has surpassed the original. Thankfully, we don’t have to worry about withdrawals much longer as the highly anticipated spin-off series is finally almost here.

When is Castlevania: Nocturne coming out on Netflix?

It looks like fall 2023 will be a season to remember because now the time has come Castlevania: Nocturne will be published. The animated title will officially launch on Netflix on Thursday, September 28 at 3:01pm ET/12:01pm PT.

On this day, fans can watch eight episodes of the first season of the anime, each about 25 minutes long.

What is Castlevania: Nocturne about?

Throughout the eight episodes, you’ll learn about the events that unfolded years after Sypha Belnades and Trevor Belmont defeated the dark vampire army and foiled their plan to commit human genocide. However, their attempts did not lead to the extermination of the vampires, so we need another Belmont (the last remaining Belmont) to stop their evil plans.

France, 1792 – the climax of the French Revolution. In a remote part of western France, the counter-revolutionary aristocracy has forged an alliance with a fearsome vampire messiah who promises to “eat the sun” and unleash an army of vampires and night creatures to crush the revolution and enslave humanity. Annette, a sorceress from the Caribbean, seeks out Richter Belmont, the last descendant of the fabled family of vampire hunters, to lead the resistance.
