Nurse Lucy Letby says ‘gang of four’ doctors blamed her to cover up failings

A nurse accused of killing seven babies said a “gang of four” doctors accused her of covering up the hospital’s oversights.
Lucy Letby said two people in particular tried to remove her from the Countess of Chester Hospital’s neonatal unit.
She named them pediatric consultant Stephen Brearey and television doctor Ravi Jayaram.
She said John Gibbs and a woman, whose name cannot be released for legal reasons, were involved in a “conspiracy”.
Letby told the Manchester Crown Court jury: “They had made remarks that I was responsible for the deaths of babies and they were very insistent that I be removed from the unit.”
When asked why, she replied, “I think it’s about covering up oversights at the hospital.”
Letby, 33, from Hereford, denies all the allegations against her.
The process goes on.
