Of Course Trump Wants Dr. Oz to Just Steal the PA Senate Race Before All the Votes Are Counted

As of Wednesday afternoon, the race for the Pennsylvania GOP Senate is still too close to call for either Mehmet Oz or Dave McCormick. While the celebrity-doctor-slayer-oil salesman is on the verge of beating a former hedge fund executive, the recount seems high given state law that a vote count must be automatically occurs if the win rate among candidates is 0.5 points or less. On the other hand, the margin could widen, eliminating the need for a recount, as there are still thousands of mail-in ballots that need to be tallied. But according to Donald Trump? The country’s top expert in saying, “circumvent the law” and claim victory before all votes count? Dr. Oz should just tell everyone he won.

“Dr. Oz should claim victory. It makes it much harder for them to cheat with ballots they ‘found by accident,’ “Trump Written on Social Truth on Wednesday morning. Earlier that day, he shouted, “We start again! In Pennsylvania, they could not count Mail-In Ballots. That is a BIG MESSAGE. Our country will go to paper voting, with a vote of the day. Made only in France, no problem. Let’s get smart America! ” The former president endorsed Oz last month, and two men launched attacks on McCormick for being a “liberal Wall Street Republican” and not MAGA enough. (The McCormick team, apparently trying to prove the MAGA candidate’s faith, is said to have tried to make the case that Oz wasn’t elected because of his Turkish heritage and dual citizenship.)

Trump, you may or may not have heard, spent months trying to steal the 2020 election, with the state of Pennsylvania playing a key role in his plot. On November 4, just before all ballots were counted, the then-president tweeted: “We have declared, for the purposes of Elections of the Electoral College, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (will not be). (allowing legal observers) Georgia State and North Carolina State, each of which has a BIG Trump in the lead. Also, we ask for the State of Michigan.” (Clearly his thinking you have It would be fun to simply give a status that sounds official and “request” one would be hilarious if it wasn’t one of the first steps in a series of steps leading to a violent uprising that caused 5 dead.) Hours earlier, he held a press conference in the East Room of the White House and falsely claimed that his early lead in the counting of votes, and then falling behind, meant that election was stolen from him, he declared, “This is a fraud on the American public. I won this election. Honestly, we won this election. ”

Earlier this month, it was revealed that John Eastman, conservative attorney and Trump co-conspirator in trying to steal the election, told a Pennsylvania lawmaker to literally cast absentee ballots and recount votes without them to “provide some cover” for the Pennsylvania legislature to designate its own pro-Trump electors. “Once that math is done,” he wrote in a December 2020 email, “you’ll be left with a key Trump lead, which will strengthen the argument for the Legislature to pass a group of Trump electors”.

In an appearance on CNN on Wednesday, Leigh Chapman, acting secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, noting that figures from the Associated Press show that a minimum of 24,000 people were absent and that mailed ballots were not counted. At the time, Dr. Oz led by less than 2,500 votes.
