One person killed in Glassell Park house fire

One person died after a fire tore through a home in Glassell Park on Saturday morning, authorities said.

The fire broke out around 9:50 a.m. at the home on the 2600 block of West Crestmoore Place, destroying the apartment in the hilly neighborhood, said Margaret Stewart, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The person killed is believed to have lived in the house, Stewart said. The identity of the person has not been released.

No other injuries were reported.
