OpenAI launches an iOS app for ChatGPT
You now have easy access to ChatGPT from your iPhone. OpenAI announced on Thursday that it is launching a ChatGPT app.
Basically, the app promises to put the generative AI chatbot in your pocket.
“We’re starting with the rollout in the US and will be expanding to more countries in the coming weeks,” OpenAI said in one opinion(opens in a new tab). “We are curious how you use the app. As we collect user feedback, we strive to continually improve ChatGPT’s features and security.”
The app was available for Download in the App Store(opens in a new tab) shortly after the announcement.

The app is free to use and syncs your history across devices with ChatGPT. It also uses OpenAI’s Whisper speech recognition system to integrate speech input. Those who have subscribed to ChatGPT Plus get all the exclusive Chat GPT 4 features on iOS too.
The app will surely make ChatGPT easier to use for most people since we are constantly on the phone. OpenAI wrote in its statement that from day one it “has heard from users that they enjoy using ChatGPT on the go.” These people got their wish.
