Orders for Long-Lasting Goods Rose Modestly in April

Orders for perennial items such as home appliances, computers and cars rose in April, driven by an increase in new aircraft orders.

The Commerce Department said on Wednesday it said new orders for products lasting at least three years rose 0.4 percent to a seasonally adjusted $265.3 billion in April. after adjusting for a 0.6% increase in March. April marked the sixth increase in seven months.
