Created by someone old mixture showrunner Karin Gist and executive producer by Empire ‘s Lee Daniels, Our kind of people highlight the Negro, rich and connoisseur, who calls the Oak Bluffs at Martha’s Vineyard. Chicago Med alum Yaya DaCosta plays Angela, an aspiring but kind social climber and single mother who travels to Bluffs to find out the identity of her biological father and launch her hair care line.

In the finale, Angela and her half-sister Leah (Nadine Ellis) are planning to work together at Angela’s company until a mysterious gunman pulls the trigger to kill their father Teddy Franklin (Joe Morton). ) and attack Leah. Our kind of people also stars Morris Chestnut (Resident) as Raymond Dupont, husband of Leah, and the one-of-a-kind Debbi Morgan as Angela’s Aunt Piggy.

Through the 10th episode (out of 12), Our kind of people averaged 2.1 million total weekly viewers and 0.5 demo rating – with Live playback + 7 DVRs. So it ranks fifth out of six TV series Fox airs this season, beating only freshmen Leapwas canceled in March.

Our kind of people only 42% audience retention out of Resident and hit a recent low audience on January 18 (although it did increase with the January 25 finale).
