Outer Wilds is getting an upgrade for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on September 15th, and it’s free for anyone who already owns the game on PS4 or Xbox One. Outer Wilds First landing in 2019, is a brilliant open-world mystery about exploring alien planets and unraveling the mysteries of an endless time loop that has engulfed the solar system. It is the first console and PC game from indie studio Mobius Digital and has been selected to receive a handful of prestigious awards since launch, including Best Game at the 2020 BAFTA Games Awards.
PS5 and Xbox series native upgrade reaches 60 fps. Outer Wilds: Echoes of the Eyea large and beautiful part of the DLC for the game, will also be updated and included in the new version.
The Switch version of Outer Wilds is scheduled for release in September after the new upgrade, and this is a delay from the original release window of this summer. All of these announcements were made by Mobius Digital during today’s Annapurna Interactive presentation.
