Pamela Anderson ‘has suppressed rage’ over leaked sex tape but ‘isn’t holding onto trauma,’ expert says

PAMELA Anderson has overcome her fears over her infamous sextape leak, body language expert claims.
But she believes the Playboy icon’s gestures in her Netflix doc hint at anger alongside her infamous confidence.

Analyzing footage from the recently released documentary, Patti Wood told The US Sun: “Pamela is very calm as she retells the story of the sex tape.
“Somehow she came to terms with it and made her peace with it.
“She does it in a truthful way, too. Her head tilts down and her eye focus goes up, and then she goes into her memory to access the information.
“The first time I see a visible hint of anger at the theft in the footage is when she growls when discussing her legal ordeal.

“Other than that, she’s wearing what looks like a fluffy bathrobe, which is something like a granny that’s soft and caring.
“What she’s saying is, ‘I’m vulnerable here, but I’m also still super sexy.'”
Pamela, A Love Story chronicles the life and times of the former Baywatch star and features archival footage as the 55-year-old unpacks her tumultuous past from her humble home in British Columbia.
From the start, Pamela’s current surroundings seem a far cry from the luxurious and celebrity world of Hollywood, where she was once the queen of Tinseltown.
The focus of the film, however, is how Anderson and her then-husband, Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, coped with the fallout of a leaked sex tape after their son was born.
The controversy surrounding the tape revolves around the theft of a home video from a safe in Pamela’s Malibu home in the mid-1990s and the fallout from the newlyweds’ failed legal battles.
It also shows why Pamela and Tommy turned down a whopping $5 million for the tape, despite the fact that others will benefit from it for years to come.
Of the ordeal in her film, she said, “We never did a sextape. We’ve always just filmed each other and lived sexy, passionate lives: cute newlyweds. Just two crazy naked people in love.”
“Usually when someone tells a lie or is in the middle of a lie, they tell a story that they made up in their head,” Patti explained.

“As Pamela repeats what Tommy is saying in the archive footage, she makes his head movements and shakes her head as if she were in the role of what Tommy is saying.
“And she even focuses the gaze down on what I think is the assistant in the conversation.
“She tells the story, she becomes him.
“Her shoulders rise as she says in Tommy’s voice, where did you put the safe?”
Just last year, Hulu released the movie Pam & Tommy.
This spurred Pamela to post her own personal version of her life story, covering the sex tape leak and the events that followed.

The mother-of-two worked with her son Brendan, who co-produced the film, and the global release was highly anticipated.
“It was painful enough the first time,” Pamela says of the Hulu production. “It’s like one of those things where you go, ‘Really? People still capitalizing on this thing?’”
“Pamela looks consistently strong for the most part,” adds Patti.
“In one part she’s kind of provocatively reclining in her robe, which is kind of a mixed message about the whole thing.
“With no makeup, her hair tousled and wearing what appears to be a robe, she is in this provocative position.
“But sometimes her vulnerability is a bit when I see her shoulders slump forward and her head slump down and she looks down and closes her eyes.
“She’s trying to pull down the shades of her feelings in that moment, and it creeps in as she recalls how vulnerable she felt when they didn’t know how to get the tape back.

“But she’s still fine with that.
“The only time in the sextape section [of the documentary] where you can almost see a small growl on her face and her voice is raised slightly, surrounding the attorneys.”
Back then, Anderson and Lee seemed to have been the first victims of online revenge porn.
The tape was reportedly stolen from their home by an electrician named Rand Gauthier, whom they fired.
Pamela and Tommy then filed charges against Penthouse after the magazine published pictures of the tape.
They also filed restraining orders against anyone who possessed copies of the sex tape, although these proved unsuccessful.

“When she talks about the legal situation, you can tell she erupts in anger, but it doesn’t overwhelm her,” says Patti.
“She also does a partial tongue thrust showing suppressed anger.
“By the time Pamela finishes the sextape segment, she also shows vocal tension and appears on the verge of tears.
“As she begins to relive the character assassination she suffered following the sex tape leak, her hand movements also change and come forward and out.
“After that, she wears makeup and soft clothes and paints.

“This is called the Recency Effect and would be the very last part of this segment to linger in the viewer’s mind.
“Pamela’s decision was to go bare-faced by the end of this part, but she wants her beauty and her puckered sexy beauty to be the lasting image.”
