The TikToker showed his followers the noodle pot that would boil over at any moment.

He told viewers: “This pot looks like it’s about to boil over, let’s put some oil in it.”

The content creator dabbed cooking oil on a piece of kitchen roll and wiped the inside of the rim of the pot.

“What? No way, it works?” he said while filming the pot of boiling water.

The water continued to bubble, but did not rise above the freshly oiled rim of the pot.

“It didn’t even try to boil over,” the TikToker told his followers.

TikTok users took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the tip.

“What did I just see?” asked an astonished viewer.

Another follower shared, “Butter does the same.”

“I put oil in the water and put a wooden spoon over the pan,” a third person commented.
