People are just realizing the right way to use a can opener – and it’s genuinely so much easier

A KITCHEN expert has revealed her technique for optimal use of a can opener.

TikToker’s method of opening cans went viral without many people knowing about the hack in the first place.

Influencers (@mamainthekitchen) filmed herself performing the hack in one videotapes on TikTok.

“I recently discovered that I’ve been using the can opener the wrong way my whole life. So here’s what I learned. It’s so much easier and more convenient,” she said.

She holds a can opener that has a sharp blade on the outside instead of the inside.

“So you’re going to hold it like this. So the blade is going to be outside, and then it’s going to rattle. And you’re just going to have to turn it all the way.

“And look how easily it opens. And it pops out when it’s attached to a can opener like this.

“This is how you have to open it. Look it’s much easier. And you don’t have to try to open it,” she said.

TikToker hack is duet by another user named @lifesbook_ceowho shocked the unboxing technique.

Both videos attracted a lot of viewers, with some saying they swore before the hack and others giving their opinions.

“I always do it the right way I never knew there was a wrong way,” one person wrote in the comments section of the original video.

“I always thought it was the only way,” another added. “At least I got it right.”

“Just tried,” commented a third. “Completely effective. Great tip.”

“Here I think you need a different kind of opener for that,” another wrote.

Another said: “How old am I today when I found out about this.”
