The stunning discovery was shared by a professional Australian cleaner, Kacie, better known to her fans as The Big Clean Co on TikTok.
According to her, the hidden compartment will catch all the leftover crumbs – and people will go crazy.
“There are cleaning hacks out there that aren’t actually hacks at all, they make it harder.
“I was sent one this week. “Clean your toaster with a hair dryer”. Just dump it in the bin,” chuckled the Aussie.
But then, during the video, Kacie put her hand under the toaster and pulled out a tiny tray full of crumbs.
And while some may insist they were aware of this feature, this was new information for hundreds of social media users.
One person commented to say, “There’s a tray?!?!?!?”
“Omg, I can’t believe this. I’m always staring at it and getting annoyed with all the crumbs,” said another, stunned.
Someone else was far from impressed, writing: “OK I understand some things you don’t understand but you didn’t know anything about toaster trays???
“As if your house could catch fire.”

It seems 2023 is all about learning new hacks — and now people have figured out how to stop crying by chopping onions.
Avid foodies will know that most savory recipes call for onions—which always come with a torrent of tears.
Luckily, there’s an easy way to stop crying, so if you’re planning on making a delicious vegetable tangine or delicious chorizo tortellini casserole tonight, this is for you.
The inexpensive trick has already gone viral on Instagram, and one of those who tried it was Dustin Hadley, better known as That40yearguy to his 351,000 fans on social media.
According to Dustin, who was also stunned by a recent microwave hack, the answer is quite simple.
The life hack enthusiast shared the life-changing cooking tip, revealing all you have to do is put a slice of bread in your mouth.
Armed with a loaf of white bread, Dustin bit into a slice and continued chopping the onion in front of him – and after zooming in on his face, there were no tears in his eyes.
Stunned, the foodie said: “You’re telling me I cried for 40 years every time I cut onions for onion rings, I could have done that?
“I can’t believe this actually worked,” he exclaimed in the caption of the now-viral video.
Since uploading to the popular social media platform, the clip has taken the internet by storm.
Thousands of people flocked to the comments to share their thoughts, as well as their tips for keeping the tears at bay.
A foodie friend claimed, “A damp paper towel next to the cutting board works, too!”
Another insisted, “If you don’t cut the root of an onion, you’ll never tear it.”
“It’s the sulfur in the onion that’s absorbed by the bread before it reaches your eyes that makes it effective,” a third explained the magic behind the trick.

“Gum works too, but I have no idea why that works, didn’t learn that in chemistry,” the woman added.
“I was always taught, ‘sharp knife, no tears,'” commented another.
