Pete Davidson reveals the five-year plan for the Titanic 2 ferry he bought with Colin Jost while stoned

Former “Saturday Night Live” co-stars Pete Davidson and Colin Jost famously bought the Staten Island Ferry for $280,000 in January 2022, with Davidson recently admitting he was stoned when they did so.
It turns out there may be more to the infamous Staten Island Ferry purchase Pete Davidson knew. The “Saturday Night Live” Alum recently admitted to being stoned while he and his co-stars starred Colin Jost bought it at auction in January 2022 for $280,000.
Just three weeks ago, Davidson told entertainment tonight that he “has no idea what’s going on with that thing”. He also seemed a little down about the whole thing, quipping, “Hopefully it turns into a Transformer and friggin’ manages to get out of there so I don’t have to pay more for it.”

Now, however, it looks like all sorts of plans exist… and perhaps Davidson’s enthusiasm for the possibilities has shifted. At least it sounds like the guys took the costly project very seriously.
There’s still a long way to go, as Davidson tells Seth Meyers in Wednesday’s episode of his new podcast “Family Outings with the Meyers Brothers” that they reckon at least five years in the future, as reported by The daily beast. But they are pushing the idea of turning it into a floating entertainment complex.
He also shared that the comics jokingly called the ferry “Titanic 2” in the LLC documentary. However, their plan is just as elaborate as that of the original doomed cruise ship.
“Everything is going to stay the way it is out there, we’re going to keep what we can and just repurpose it, make sure it’s nice, but it’s going to be the Staten Island Ferry,” Davidson said. It’s the interior that will be drastically different.

“There will be a restaurant, there will be a concert hall, there will be a movie theater,” Davidson told Meyers. “And then there are hotels in there, so we’ll have a few of those, and then in the winter, [we’ll] tractor [the ferry] to Miami.”
Davidson previously complained that the duo were “in a bind” after the impromptu purchase, although he also claimed they were both high. Jost later denied he was high, depriving him of a nice excuse for such a dubious purchase.
While Davidson didn’t provide a timeline for when he and Jost last spoke about it, we can imagine it was after his less-informed conversation with ET.
He said Jost called him and asked him to call about the ferry. “I thought, ‘Are we still doing this?'” Davidson said. “He’s like, ‘Yeah, that’s pretty serious.'”
“And that’s it! I had no idea,” Davidson continued. “I just saw a link and sent a deposit and now I’m stuck with a damn boat.”

Though there’s still a long way to go, whatever happens, Davidson said he and Jost got a glimpse of the possible future. “We just did all the plans and had them do one of these computer-generated ‘show-what-it-could-be’ guys, and now we’re out with a bunch of people,” he said. “And it seems like everything is going well.”
Jost was a little more optimistic about the timeline than Davidson was earlier this month when he debunked his partner’s story that they were both stoned during the purchase. On Instagram he asked: “Is it worse that I was actually stone cold sober when we bought the ferry?”
“We look forward to proving the infidels wrong,” he continued. “You’ll be begging to get on that ferry in two years. mark my words.”
The comedian also had to crack a few jokes about the expensive purchase.
“I’m going on a Ferry Money tour this week and next. Stand up in Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Minneapolis, Madison and Chicago with some very special guests. Come by,” wrote Jost, who also posted a picture of a prank ad for the tour. “I do my own graphic design. If you want me to take your brand to new heights, I can give you millions.”
