Pete Rock thinks drill music sucks.
“Good morning drill rap. This is trash hop, not hip hop. I told you guys about this shit. idc call me what you will but this kind of hip hop is doo doo and it upsets the soul. I already told y’all that man lol smh,” said Pete Rock.
He continued: “Nobody comment on this crap lol. Drill rap isn’t even for the birds or the streets, it’s the result of greed, people with no talent and the destruction of culture. You never see the play when it happens and everyone complains but doesn’t say a word. Now this! so we go out It’s on social media, but who’s really promoting it? talk about the smh.”
New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced that he would seek to ban the music genre, blaming violence in the city.
