Philadelphia carjacking victim fires as suspects drive away in stolen vehicle, police say

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A carjacking victim in the Wissinoming neighborhood of Philadelphia shot the masked suspects as they drove away, according to police.

It happened just after midnight on Harbison Avenue and Comly Street on Wednesday.

Police say the two armed and masked attackers approached the two victims and demanded their vehicle.

As they drove away in the stolen Honda Ridgeline pickup, one of the victims opened fire and fired five times.

Police don’t know if the carjackers were injured during their escape.

No further details about the suspects were released.
