Philadelphia CO leak: 1 dead after carbon monoxide leak on Chester Avenue in Southwest Philly

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — According to the fire department, one person died Tuesday afternoon in southwest Philadelphia after a carbon monoxide leak.
Just before 4 p.m., the call came in about a leak in an apartment building on Block 4700 of Chester Avenue.
The victim has been identified as a man found on the first floor. An autopsy will clarify the exact cause of death.
Officials told Action News that more than a dozen residents were evacuated from the apartment building.
The cause of the leak is still under investigation.
