Philadelphia crash: Hit-and-run leaves man dead in Tioga-Nicetown; suspect surrenders

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Philadelphia police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that killed one person Tuesday night.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. near 18th and Clarissa Streets in the Tioga-Nicetown neighborhood.

According to police, the male victim died at the scene.

The suspect fled on foot after the accident but turned himself in to police around 8:30 p.m., Action News has learned.

The suspicious vehicle, believed to be a maroon Tesla with New Jersey plates, was also found.
