Philadelphia Eagles fans ready to party at a Birds nest in San Francisco

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — It’s a touch of home…3,000 miles away.

It’s called Jake’s Steaks and was opened by Jake Gillis in 2005 while he was living in San Francisco.

“It’s not a particularly big place, but it’s all Philly. There’s a beautiful mural of Boat House Row that I put on the wall and there’s a boat hanging from the ceiling and everything else,” Gillis said.

Jake has since moved back to the Philadelphia area.

Wayne and Nasri Mufarreh of San Francisco now own it, but they rightly kept it as Eagles Country. The place is filled with jerseys, banners and even a non-cowboy flag hanging from the ceiling.

They serve Philly cheesesteaks and they even have green jello shots on Sundays.

“It’s unique. It’s like nothing else you’ll ever experience. These fans are sacred to their beloved team.” Wayne Mufarreh Jr., owner of Jake’s Steaks

And if history is any indication, it’s going to be a big party next Sunday.

“The block will be closed, tables outside, TVs, inside and outside … Fries, Käsewiz on top,” Mufarreh said.

“East Coast fans have a reputation for being obnoxious and loud, but at the same time they would be healthy and happy and enjoy the game like a regular Joe,” said Nasri Mufarreh.

And whether or not any 49ers fans show up has yet to be determined, but if they do, they know whose territory they’re on.

“They are not afraid to show their colors and they will come and be very loud. They are there all year round but in a game as exciting as this it will be really fun to play against their current hometown. ” Even the Niners fans know better than to come and try to cause trouble at Jake Steaks. They are outnumbered! It’s not that we’re mean, it’s just that we’re very passionate,” Gillis said.
