PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Witnesses ran to the aid of a shooting victim who got out of a car in the Ogontz neighborhood of Philadelphia, police said.
Just before 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, people at the intersection of Ogontz Avenue and Stenton Avenue saw the man with a gunshot wound to the neck exit a Buick sedan.
They ran to the Crown Fried Chicken diner to get napkins and try to stop the bleeding.
Police were called and took the man to Einstein Medical Center, where he later died.
Police are not sure where the shooting took place.
They found blood in the Buick, which remained parked at the scene.
The victim did not have ID with him but is said to be in his 20s.
