Philadelphia Phillies, shortstop Trea Turner reach 11-year, $300M deal, source tells ESPN

Turner spent the last year and more with the Los Angeles Dodgers after being picked up by the Nationals midseason.

PHILADELPHIA– Shortstop Trea Turner and the Philadelphia Phillies have agreed an 11-year, $300 million deal that includes a full no-trade clause, a source told ESPN’s Kiley McDaniel.
Turner spent the past year and more with the Los Angeles Dodgers after being acquired in a midseason trade with the Washington Nationals in 2021.
The 29-year-old joins a Phillies team that has had one World Series appearance. For Philadelphia, adding Turner not only strengthens its lineup but also weakens an NL contender.
