Philadelphia teenager shoots and kills grandfather after argument inside West Oak Lane home: Police

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Police say a teenager shot and killed his grandfather at a home in the West Oak Lane neighborhood of Philadelphia.
It happened around 8 p.m. Tuesday at the 1400 block of East Sharpnack Street near Williams Avenue.
The police were called to a shootout in the house.
Arriving officers and paramedics found the 58-year-old lying in the living room with a gunshot wound to the back.
He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the suspected gunman, the victim’s teenage grandson, remained at the scene.
Witnesses and family members told police the situation began as an argument and escalated into a physical altercation.
The grandson was taken into custody.
A semi-automatic pistol was found in the apartment.
Investigators interviewed family members who were in the home at the time.
According to the police, the victim lived in the house.
