Philadelphia water main breaks, sinkhole opens on East Fisher Ave. in Olney

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Traffic chaos erupted in the Olney neighborhood of Philadelphia during Tuesday morning’s rush hour.

Crews were at the scene after a water main ruptured and a hole in the ground opened in the 100 block of East Fisher Avenue around 6 a.m

Video from the Action Cam showed water flowing down the road while the foxhole was blocked.

Olney Elementary School is about a block away, but there has been no word of a student break.

Traffic was diverted around the scene of the accident.
