PHILLIP Schofield beamed as he escaped his feud drama ‘This Morning’ at the London Wine Fair today.
After completing his presenting duties at ITV, 61-year-old Phillip traveled to Olympia, where he ‘discussed all things sustainable wine’ with the When In Rome brand.
Wearing a pink shirt and dark trousers, Phillip had a big smile on his face as he filmed at their booth for the brand.
The TV star has a passion for all things gin and wine and previously had a unique vino range with Waitrose.
The retailer dropped it late last year after it was branded ‘inedible’ but has since been revived by When In Rome, with the £25.99 red variant currently sold out.
Phillip’s Instagram posts from the fair are his first social media interaction in a week and he even disabled comments on his most recent posts after his feud with co-star Holly Willoughby was exposed.
The Sun first reported that the TV stars’ relationship was strained when the star confronted Holly in a tense phone call shortly after their falling out became public.
It is understood that Holly was taken completely by surprise when Phil released a statement regarding their feud without consulting her.
Returning to This Morning yesterday, insiders revealed Phil and Holly left a “casing” behind after being told their relationship isn’t what it used to be.
An insider told The mirror: “He becomes increasingly withdrawn and almost a shell of himself.”
Meanwhile, another source tells us that Phillip is stepping up his response to the fallout by calling in a legal team.
They said: “Phil has hired an attorney to protect his reputation.
“They monitor stories related to ITV and his role on This Morning and make sure Phil is protected.
“Phil has done absolutely nothing wrong and has no PR team to guide him.
“He and ITV felt he officially needed someone by his side to fend off things that aren’t true.”
“Phil doesn’t want this to get out of his control.”
In his statement about his relationship with Holly, Phillip wrote, “Like I said before, Holly is my rock.”
“We’re best friends – as always, she’s been an incredible support on screen, behind the scenes and on the phone.
“Holly has always been there for me through thick and thin. And I was there for her.”
“The last few weeks have not been easy for any of us.”
