Philly gun violence: Girl shot and wounded after being caught in crossfire in North Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A 12-year-old girl is recovering after being shot in North Philadelphia on Friday night.
Police say the child was caught in a crossfire as more than 30 shots were fired.
The shooting took place just after 6 p.m. at the 1700 block of N. Woodstock Street.
According to police, the girl was hit in the right hip.

She was taken to Temple University Hospital in a private vehicle and is now in stable condition.
Investigators say no weapons were seized and no arrests were made.
Also on Friday, a 41-year-old worker at Mill Creek Recreation Center was killed by a stray bullet during a firefight.
