Cannons

Cannon is one of the most unusual weapons in Rogue Legacy 2. It is a hybrid weapon that has advantages for both a melee and ranged attack. Its first attack is always a close-range melee attack. This deals moderate damage and knocks enemies back. The next attack is then a ranged attack where you fire a cannonball. This requires manual targeting like Ranger’s War Bow and Gunslinger’s Kinetic Revolver.

The strategy to get the most out of the Cannon is as follows: You’ll want to lunge in and spin to land a critical hit that’s sure to knock your enemies back as well. Then switch to firing Cannons, targeting the very enemy you just repelled. It’s a complex combination and very difficult to master over time. However, if you are good at it, you can defeat most enemies without even having a chance to fight back.
