Shadow Mewtwo will be the first target of this new raid type that will appear in every gym taken over by Team Rocket members.

These five-star raids cannot be completed using remote raid passes, meaning players must meet in person.

Shadow Raids will be more difficult than typical five-star raids, but a new item, Shadow Gems, can help players defeat them.

This also marks the start of the Rising Shadows event, however details about the event are kept secret for now.
