Police swarm Glasgow city centre after late night ‘disturbance’ as man charged

A MAN has been charged after police officers ran to the scene of an alleged late night riot in Glasgow.

After an incident was reported, rescue workers were called to the city’s Ingram Street around 11:40pm yesterday.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged disorder.

He is due to appear in Glasgow Sheriff Court today.

Crime scene images show a number of police vehicles present as officers conducted their investigation.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At around 11.40pm on Monday 10 July 2023, police received a report of a riot in Ingram Street, Glasgow.

“Officials were present and a 20-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

“He is due to appear in Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday 11 July 2023 and a report will be sent to the public prosecutor.”
